TECHNOLOGY
Use high power semiconductor at 808nm to “pump” in an opcal sense a crystal that produces light of a wavelength of 1064nm. Such light is in turn cast upon a duplicang crystal (LBO-triborate lithium) to “halve” the wavelength of 1064nm and obtain green light of 532nm.
Such a novel system of spling the value of the wavelength allows the operator to control the exit of green light using very short pulses.
